Lisa joined The Plaza Arts Center in the summer of 2021 as the Director of Development. Her role is to oversee and guide a growing portfolio of work in donor relations, grants and membership. She has previously held strategic fundraising roles as a board member and in leadership roles such as Governor Nathan Deal’s appointment to the GOCF and the Juvenile Justice Reform Board, Henry Medical Center Foundation, Henry County Chamber of Commerce, and The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce. Lisa spent a great deal of her career publishing “Southern Journal Magazine.” She was honored in 2017 by both Governor Nathan Deal and Lt. Governor Casey Cagle with Proclamations for dedicating a decade of editorial space to the many non-profits that work tirelessly to support those they serve.
Lisa’s love for The Plaza Arts Center began when Steve Tubbs asked her out on their first date to see the production “Damn Yankees” at The Plaza. She has since married Steve and they have happily settled into Eatonton. They are members of The First Baptist Church of Eatonton where Steve is a Deacon.
In addition to professional interests in a variety of development topics, Lisa shares her passion for travel with her husband and her son, Cole. She is an avid Auburn Football fan and is the happiest at home entertaining guests with her husband on their dock.
