The Plaza Arts Center hosts a variety of artistic activities for all ages and interests including art classes and camps, music instruction, theater performances and productions, and an annual photography show. These activities are offered at various times throughout the year.

The After School Art Program begins in September each year.  Children 1st – 5th grade are invited to attend once a month per the group schedule. Every student will receive a healthy snack when they arrive. We divide everyone into groups and rotate among different arts and crafts activities.This is a free program put on by The Plaza Arts Center and lots of volunteers. The After School Art Program takes place in the Plaza Community Center. behind The Plaza. The address is: 100 Ulysses Rice Court.

For middle schoolers  |   March 6-May 1; Wednesdays

Onstage OUtreach

This after school theater program is in collaboration with The Arts Barn. Students will explore many facets of the performing arts: acting, dancing, and singing in a positive and uplifting environment! This FREE program is made possible by generous donors.  There are limited spots available. While this is a free program, students must be signed up to attend. The Onstage Outreach Program takes place in the Plaza Community Center. behind The Plaza. The address is: 100 Ulysses Rice Court.

Camp broadway

For rising 3rd – 8th graders. Campers will explore acting, song, and dance combined with theatre games that hone acting skills and how to engage as an ensemble member. The camp will culminate with a performance.

Broadway intensive

For rising 10th graders through age 25. This intensive is designed for high school and college-aged young adults to expand their talents. Auditions are required to participate. 

July 15-19, 2024

Youth education programming
art camp

For rising 1st – 5th graders. Campers will create new projects daily ranging from basket weaving to painting. There will be lots of outdoor time spent making art in nature.
