Are you ready to take the stage?
PAPA was founded and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1978 by a passionate group of Putnam County residents to create opportunities for local artists and talents interested in performing. PAPA produced its first play in 1978 and dozens more in several different venues until the opening of The Plaza Arts Center Theater in 2008. That year, PAPA came under the umbrella of The Plaza Arts Center, Inc (formerly Eatonton-Putnam Arts Foundation, Inc.) Plays are cast by each play’s designated director and according to the needed characters’ genders, ages, and types as needed. Casting calls are publicized in newspapers, email blasts, our website and Facebook page, and by public announcements whenever possible.
