Video Production & Editing Class

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students will learn about video production and video editing in this hands-on class. Each participant will have the use of a camera and learn the steps necessary to produce all types of videos. This course will teach the basics of video production including writing a script, creating a storyboard, shooting videos, and editing videos. Instructor Maurice Hill, Putnam County Charter Schools’ Facilities Manager, is a former freelance videographer and has a large variety of video and editing equipment for students to use.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Open to middle school & high school students – limited to 20 students.

DATES: Class runs every Tuesday from 4:00 – 6:00 for 6 weeks, beginning October. 2, 2018.

COST: This is a FREE class; however, students must be registered to participate.

TRANSPORTATION: After school, Putnam County students take a school bus directly to the Plaza Community Center (PCC). Students will need to be picked up at 5:15 by a family member. Transportation for private school and home-schooled children must be arranged by parents. We hope to see many returning students and new ones!  The Plaza address is 305 N. Madison Ave. and The Plaza Community Center building is directly behind The Plaza at 100 Ulysses Rice Court, located directly off Church Street just past the library parking lot entrance.
