Georgia Ensemble Theater presents: STEAM Team
Another busy day yesterday at The Plaza with the Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory! On Thursday, April 11, 2019 we welcomed over 900 students (grades K-4) in the theater for 2 performances of "STEAM Team." What can happen when five neighborhood friends take their interests in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics and join forces to help a friend in need? The S.T.E.A.M. Team is formed, and the neighborhood will never be the same. This play focuses on themes of project learning, anti-bullying, social change, and STEM/STEAM education. An Original Play by Topher Payne and directed by Laurel Crowe.
Once again, this educational arts-based performance programming is provided free to the students thanks to a Vibrant Communities Grant. This grant program is supported in part by Georgia Council for the Arts through appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. Georgia Council for the Arts also receives support from its partner agency - the National Endowment for the Arts.
Thank you to all the teachers, Putnam County School System and Gatewood for your help in scheduling and coordinating all the busses/transportation!
